Production of infectious virus from CD4+ or CD4− cells transfected with 1-LTRHIV. (A, B) Analysis of 1-LTR or 2-LTR circles generated in cells transfected with 1-LTRHIV in the presence or absence of raltegravir (Ral). Total DNA was extracted from a culture of transfected (A) HeLa-tat cells or (B) Jurkat cells. Cells were harvested after three days of growth in the presence or absence of 20 nM of raltegravir. The respective sizes of the amplicons are 0.79 kb and 0.5 kb, as expected. The two amplicons were cloned and sequenced (Fig. S1)
